Cornwall Art Walk
October 25 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Experience some amazing local art and some great Downtown restaurants and shops at the same time with the Cornwall Art Walk.
This new monthly event will see artists display their art on easels in windows and on the walls of local businesses for one night each month. The artists will be present to paint or draw during the evening and to talk to people about their art. The event is scheduled for Thursday nights, once per month, on June 21, July 26, Aug 23 and October 3rd.
“This is a wonderful idea spreading across the U.S. and Canada. We’ll be showcasing incredible local artistic talents in amazing Downtown business locations. You can walk from artist to artist, see art in the making, get art insights from the artists themselves, and experience the best of retail and food service in Downtown Cornwall,” said Tracy Davies of Cailuan Gallery, one of the organizers of the event along with the Downtown Business Improvement Area.
The events will run from 6 pm to 9 pm at 14 different businesses in Downtown Cornwall.
“This is a great way for residents and visitors to experience the passion local artists have for their work, while also enjoying the fine amenities our downtown has to offer. Whether it’s one of our popular downtown restaurants, a shop you haven’t visited before or one of your favourite locally-owned businesses, combining art with a fun night out is a natural fit,” said Todd Lihou, Centretown Coordinator.
Participating artists include:
Sandra Taylor Hedges
Tracy Lynn Chisholm
Carol Ann Breedyk
Participating venues for the Art Walk include:
Love Love Food
Cline House Gallery & OBO Studios
