Balancing Work, Life & Family (plus Yoga!)

Paula McDermid will be discussing the impossibility of work-life balance and the beauty and grace of accepting that. Forgiving ourselves for the dropped balls and learning to bring gratitude, kindness and credit for all that we get done on a daily basis. How to eliminate the less important things and how to incorporate more self care into our daily lives.

Bring your yoga mat! Paula will guide us through a little yoga session. If you don’t have one, no worries, we’ll have a few extras!

Admission includes a glass of wine or equivalent!

Paula is the owner and director of Love Yoga, a yoga studio located in downtown Cornwall currently staffing 12 teachers and providing 25 classes per week, now in its 4th year of operation with an expansion happening shortly. She can also be found on YourTV as a cohost of a television show called ‘Full Circle Moments’ showcasing our inspirational local community and as a freelancer with the international wellness website elephantjournal.com. She is a 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher and Certified Meditation Teacher nearing 5000 teaching hours, she has a disciplined daily yoga practice which has inspired and supported her work with children and adults alike. With yoga and mindfulness certifications from Princeton University, Ottawa University, University of Toronto, Rainbow Kids Yoga, Prana Shanti, The Chopra Centre, plus multiple others, she has created a comprehensive workshop for families who are looking to explore mindfulness, wellness, and balance. It is her honour to work with people of all ages as they seek to improve their experience of life, to reduce stress and cultivate connection.
